That's right! Seven weeks left at work! There is actually a lot to do here, so the time will go fast. It has been going fast already. I am glad that I'm leaving a bit earlier before I'm due than I did when I was pregnant with Duncan though.
So further to my post last week about Baby Buddha, I got an email on Facebook from a local kid's clothing shop and they are having a 50% off everything sale for FB/email list customers this coming Friday, and it includes the Baby Buddha! Ah ha!! So I'll need to go take a look. Still a bit pricey, but hey, 1/2 price is better than full.
Weekend was good. Kind of non-eventful. Went for my glucose test, took Duncan to the doctor for his cough - it's not in his chest, so it will clear up, which is all we wanted to hear. Bill had a dentist appointment. We went to Chris and Ronnie's at night and dragged Theresa along. Sunday we napped Duncan in his bed (we're having a hard time letting go of him sleeping in the crib) and he did awesome. We'll try nights this coming weekend. Went for a walk at Kanaka Creek Park Sunday afternoon. The weather was gorgeous!! I almost lost my cell phone. Well I did. I dropped it, and Dad found it b/c he had to go back along the trail for the dog, so thank goodness he did!
Alisha from work here just got back from Hawaii (ahhh.... Hawaii) and dropped off a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts... oh danger! I love macadamia nuts but they are brutally high in fat. I think it's like 7 points for 1/2 a cup (weight watchers never leaves you). So I'll share the wealth. Very cool she brought them though.
Oh yeah and you can tell I'm in my 3rd trimester b/c almost exactly on cue my sciatic nerve has started to act up. Oh well! Otherwise Bean is good. Moving around lots. See you in just under 3 months kid!
Our house is clean, but it isn't pristine! So I call it Messy Chic. Because, you know, calling it "Messy" doesn't sound as cool.

I really should just go to bed
And I will. Soon. I have been so exhausted - and it's not just Bean. I think still recovering from the cold I had (still getting better!) and also just kind of a nasty week at work - takes its toll! And this is the 1st full week I've had at work in about a month. Oh, how hard life is.
We'll be moving our little man into a toddler bed soon. We bought a used car bed, and when Duncan saw it today "Whoa!!". We bought him Cars sheets and a quilt etc, so when we do move him to the bed it will be more special. We just have it in his room for now. We'll give him a little bit of time to get used to the idea, but I do think it's time. He could easily climb out of his crib, and that's what I'm afraid of - is that he'll try and fall over the side. Oh but he's a sweet boy. My brother Jeff popped by for a few minutes last night and Duncan was so excited to see Uncle. He totally loves his Uncle Jeff.
Looking forward to the weekend - aside from normal weekend stuff, I'm going out with Ronnie. Believe it or not we barely see each other any more, so it should be fun.
Okay, I am drifting off here. Love you all. Tanya thank you for writing more. Other people, do the same! Jen! You could write every day with tales about you and your family - go for it!
